In light of this most recent emergency at the Planned Parenthood megacenter in Albuquerque, in which a Texas woman was apparently injured, Abortion Free New Mexico leaders are requesting that Texas Governor Greg Abbott declare a state of emergency to warn Texas women of the dangers posed by traveling to New Mexico for an abortion.

This is a public health crisis that may require public alerts to be issued or more extreme measures to be taken to prevent Texas women from obtaining abortions in New Mexico. While some Texas women are needing emergency medical care while in New Mexico, how many are requiring medical intervention upon returning to their home state after an abortion complication arises? Abortion Free New Mexico is very concerned about the lives of Texas babies that are being murdered and the mothers being injured in the process."

Our prayers and deepest condolences go out to Charlie Kirk's family and closest friends. His death hits particularly close to our hearts as we began our pro-life ministry in 2007 on college and highschool campuses engaging in peaceful public dialouge and debate. We have long stood as unwavering advocates for the First Amendment rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Although our outreach has moved beyond college campuses, our ministry remains actively engaged on the frontlines—now standing outside abortion facilities in Albuquerque, a city recognized as one of the most violent in the world.

May Charlie rest in the peace of Christ. As believers, we take comfort in the words of Philippians 1:21: 'To live is Christ, and to die is gain.' May his death ignite a renewed boldness in every follower of Jesus—to contend earnestly for the faith, confront the darkness, and defend the innocent in our nation.

Political violence has no place in the United States of America. While we may ardently disagree, our democracy depends on peaceful dialogue, mutual respect, and the rule of law.

Unfortunately, despite Roe vs. Wade being overturned, abortion numbers in New Mexico are actually on the rise due to pro-abortion leaders in our state who are making New Mexico a magnet for abortion tourism. For years, despite our most ardent efforts to expose tax funded late-term abortions taking place in New Mexico up to the day of birth, uncovered aborted baby body parts harvesting, and even documented numerous abortion related injuries including at least one woman's death, radical pro-abortion democrats have refused to take any reasonable measures to protect innocent human life in the womb. As a result, thousands of babies lives have been lost and countless mothers have been forever scarred. Abortion only leaves women the mothers of dead children and their lives often take a turn for the worst once the guilt, shame and regret sets in.

 On the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children, we visit the burial places where a tiny fraction of the unborn victims of abortion have been laid to rest, and mourn for them. 

The National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children has been held on the second Saturday of September since 2013. This national event, sponsored by Citizens for a Pro-Life Society and the Pro-Life Action League, is intended to humanize the unborn victims of abortion by highlighting the fact that every abortion results in a dead body that must be disposed of. While most of these bodies are incinerated, thrown in the trash, or flushed down the drain, a tiny handful have been retrieved from trash bins, landfills, and pathology labs and given a proper burial.
