Abortion Free New Mexico does not endorse candidates, we let you know who stands for life and entrust you, the voter, with the responsibility to see where the candidates stand on other important issues. Life, however, is the preeminent issue when choosing a candidate to vote for because without life, nothing else matters. Abortion Free New Mexico has simply provided the candidates an opportunity to solidify their pro-life position by signing a pro-life pledge but the voters, their constituents, have to make the final decision to support them. Abortion Free New Mexico would love for every candidate to sign a pro-life pledge regardless of party affiliation but unfortunately too many candidates are bought and paid for by pro-abortion groups and individuals. Please contact the candidates, see where they stand on other issues. Vote your values and refuse to be silenced. The Albuquerque mayoral, city council and school board election will be held on November 2, 2021. Early Voting runs from October 16, 2021 to October 30, 2021. Abortion Free New Mexico’s Pro-Life Pledge states: “I pledge to defend life from conception to natural death. In making and keeping this pledge, I am committed to ending all abortion and all assisted suicide in the state of New Mexico.” Tara Shaver of Abortion Free New Mexico issued the following statement, "The fact that three out of four mayoral candidates have signed our pro-life pledge affirms that life is an important issue to the voters of Albuquerque. It is also a testament to the character of the candidates who have pledged to defend life. Albuquerque, New Mexico is known as the late-term abortion capital of the nation and Abortion Free New Mexico is committed to working to change this horrific reputation. We are thankful that Manny Gonzales is running as a pro-life candidate for mayor and that he is committed to defending the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death."  By Bud Shaver Albuquerque, New Mexico- This weekend's Off the Cuff ABQ Talk Radio Block Party will be held on Saturday, October 23rd from 12-4pm in the parking lot of Calvary Chapel East located at 12820 Indian School Rd. NE in Albuquerque. This free family event is being hosted by Off The Cuff ABQ and Abortion Free New Mexico. Come on out and grab lunch at a food truck, stay for praise and worship led by Calvary Chapel East's band and hear from the candidates. There is a park on site for the kids to play as well as door prizes and raffles. This event has been planned in the spirit of Faith, Family and Freedom! Tara Shaver, spokeswoman for Abortion Free New Mexico issued the following statement, "We are excited to have more candidates sign Abortion Free New Mexico's pro-life pledge to defend life from conception until natural death. These candidates are proud to stand for life and we stand with them for a better New Mexico. In addition, two Republican candidates for Lieutenant Governor Isabella Solis and Anthony Thornton, as well as Ali Ennenga for Albuquerque Public School (APS) Board District 3 and write-in candidate Patrick Sais for Albuquerque Mayor will also speak.
